CENTRE – Cherokee County High School pitcher Emma Hill allowed no runs on four hits with no walks and 12 strikeouts in shutting out Southside 8-0 in softball action on Monday.
Abby Lea led the Lady Warriors at the plate by going 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, two runs and a RBI. Anna Walker also contributed three hits with a run and a RBI. Grayson Tucker tallied two hits.
Carson Coley doubled and scored a pair of runs. Audrey Haygood and Auburn Mullins both doubled and drove in a run. Lanie Williams delivered a hit and two RBIs. Hill had a hit and drove in a run. Macy Lea singled and walked.
Cherokee County is scheduled to host Sand Rock on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
