Etowah County Man Fatally Injured in Single-Vehicle Crash Near Gadsden

An Etowah County man lost his life in a single-vehicle crash approximately four miles outside of Gadsden, shortly after midnight Sunday. 

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report, around 12:45am on Monday 50 year old Daniel Alfred Duke was fatally injured when he lost control of the 2007 Chevy Silverado he was driving, left the road, struck a ditch and overturned.  Duke, who wasn’t using his seat belt – was ejected from the vehicle – and pronounced dead at the scene.  The crash occurred on Fairview Road near Owens Road.

According to Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey that wreck remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol Division of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
