A house fire just across the state line in Chattooga County, Georgia, claimed the life of one person Thursday night.
According to Chief Deputy Kevin Woods with the sheriff’s office, deputies, firefighters and Redmond EMS units, were all dispatched to reports of a structure fire on Ragland Road, just west of Lyerly around 7:35pm. الكازينو Deputy Woods said it was learned that a person was inside the residence at that time and although public safety personnel made every effort to rescue the individual, they were unable to do so. No additional information is being released at this time.
