WEIS Radio News has learned that a 17 year old Cherokee County resident – has been booked in at the Cherokee County Detention Center on the charge of aggravated child abuse. According to District Attorney Mike O’Dell – the male subject is being charged as an adult.
Due to the age of the defendant, and to a recent change in the law the juvenile’s name and photograph cannot be released pending a conviction.
The case remains under investigation.
