SAND ROCK – Jadyn Foster homered, singled, walked, scored three runs and drove in five to lead the Sand Rock Lady Wildcats to a 17-4 area softball win over Gaston in five innings on Monday.

EllaGrace Hood also homered, scored twice and had three RBIs for the Lady Wildcats. Sherina Foster added a pair of hits, including a triple, with a walk and a run. Lacey Barnette contributed a pair of hits, including a triple, with two runs and a RBI. Lily Clanton collected a pair of hits, including a triple, with two walks, two runs and a RBI. Rylin StClair tripled, scored twice and drove in a run.

Katelyn StClair doubled, singled, scored four runs and drove in another. Emma Sipsy had a double. Kailee Patterson drove in a run and Briley Knight scored a run.

Sipsy earned the win in the circle after working four innings of three-hit ball. She walked four and struck out eight. Hood tossed an inning of one-hit ball with three strikeouts.

Sand Rock hosts Spring Garden on Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 p.m.
