Cedar Bluff softball rallies past Gaylesville, 11-7

GAYLESVILLE – The Cedar Bluff Lady Tigers pounded out 17 hits in an 11-7 area softball win at Gaylesville on Monday.

Harlie Nelson, Natalie Baty, Reece Patterson and Haley Allen each had three hits to lead the Lady Tigers. Baty, Patterson and Allen each had a double. Patterson also walked, scored twice and drove in three runs. Allen added two RBIs. Baty drove in a run and Nelson scored three runs.

Jordyn Walker went 2-for-3 with two runs and three RBIs. Mattie Payne also posted a pair of hits with three runs and a RBI. Emma Haney had a hit. Caitlin Slayton walked and scored a run. Za’Niya Kyle walked.

Baty earned the win in the circle. She gave up two earned runs on six hits with four walks and six strikeouts.

Gracie Dawson homered, walked and drove in two runs for the Lady Trojans. Emma Givens added a double, a run and a RBI. Jayden Dobbins delivered a hit, a run and two RBIs. Sierra Holbrook and Adrianna Hartline both had a hit and a run apiece. Gracelyn Drake finished with a hit and walk.

Calvert suffered the loss for the Lady Trojans after working an inning. She gave up three earned runs on three hits with two walks and no strikeouts.
