Pruett pops a pair of homers to help lift Warriors past White Plains

WHITE PLAINS – Walker Pruett blasted a pair of home runs as part of a three-hit day. He also walked, scored three times and drove in six runs to lift the Cherokee County Warriors to a 15-4 Class 4A, Area 9 baseball win at White Plains in five innings on Monday.

The Warriors pounded out 14 hits in the game. Cooper Rodgers added a pair of hits for the Warriors, including a double. He also drove in a pair of runs.

Tristan Whitefield added two hits, two runs and a RBI. Connor Wilson also collected a pair of hits, a run and a RBI. Luke Young had two hits, a run and a RBI. Jackson Waldrop added two hits and a RBI. Malachi Horton finished with a hit, two walks and a run.

Daegan Scott earned the win on the mound. He gave up three earned runs on eight hits with no walks and a pair of strikeouts.

The two teams finish their series on Thursday in Centre beginning at 4:30 p.m.
