OXFORD – The Sand Rock Lady Wildcats split a pair of one-run games in the Handley Lady Tiger Classic at Oxford Lake on Friday. They fell 3-2 to Piedmont and earned a 4-3 win over Pelham.

In the loss to Piedmont, the Lady Bulldogs rallied for all three of their runs in the top of the fifth inning and held on for the win. Armoni Perry homered and drove in two runs.

Jadyn Foster led Sand Rock at the plate by going 2-for-3 with a run. EllaGrace Hood added a hit and a RBI. Sherina Foster delivered a hit and scored a run. Lacey Barnette contributed a hit and a RBI. Rylin StClair finished with a hit.

Hood suffered the loss. She gave up two earned runs on four hits with a walk and seven strikeouts.

In the win over Pelham, Sand Rock scored a run in the top of the sixth to break a 3-3 tie and held on for the win.

Katelyn StClair went 3-for-4 with a run and a RBI. Emma Sipsy and Barnette both added a pair of hits. Barnette also scored a run. Jadyn Foster doubled, scored a run and had a RBI. Hood had a hit and drove in a pair of runs. Rylin StClair finished with a hit.

Jadyn Foster earned the win. She gave up two earned runs on four hits with five walks and five strikeouts.
