A Cherokee County (Alabama) man was booked into the Floyd County Jail Tuesday on a felony warrant charging him with serious injury by vehicle.
According to that warrant – Alexander Preston Brown age 26 from Centre – drove his vehicle into a tree while fleeing from police in the 700 block of Melson Road in Cave Spring back on December 6th. A female in his vehicle sustained a broken right femur in that crash. Brown then fled the scene on foot without rendering aid to the woman. He is also charged with fleeing or attempting to elude, hit and run, driving too fast for conditions, failure to maintain a single lane, obstruction of officers – and with driving an unregistered vehicle.
