Two Injured In Two Vehicle Accident Involving A Cedar Bluff Fire Truck

Two people were transported to the hospital after being injured in a two vehicle crash involving a Cedar Bluff Fire Department vehicle on Friday afternoon.

The accident took place at the intersection of Highway 68 and Old Highway 9 just after 4:00 p.m.

The collision involved the fire departments Truck 63 and a Chevy Silverado. The firefighter driving the truck in addition to the driver of the other vehicle was both transported to Rome Hospitals for treatment if unspecified injuries.

The fire department vehicle struck a power pole and the pickup truck came to rest in the parking lot near the former location of Cedars Restaurant after striking a metal sign.

Cedar Bluff Police, Alabama State Troopers, Gaylesville Fire Department, Floyd EMS and Cherokee County EMA officials responded to the scene.
