MONTGOMERY – The Alabama High School Athletic Association announced its winter sports classifications for the 2022-24 seasons on Tuesday, including basketball.
Spring Garden and Collinsville drop down from classes 2A and 3A respectively. Spring Garden is now in Class 1A, Area 12 along with Cedar Bluff, Gaylesville, Coosa Christian and Jacksonville Christian. Collinsville is now in Class 2A, Area 12 along with Sand Rock, Fyffe and Gaston.
Class 3A, Area 11 is comprised on Piedmont, Saks, Weaver and Wellborn, and Class 4A, Area 10 consists of Cherokee County, Cleburne County, Jacksonville and White Plains.
