Two people were jailed on drug charges in Cherokee County Thursday.
Melissa Teague, 37 of Leesburg was placed under arrest by Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Deputies on a charge of Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance.
She was booked into jail just after 3:00pm, where she remains on bond of $15,000.
Forty-five year old Jason Hunter of Collinsville was arrested and booked into jail just after 8:00pm, charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, two counts; he bonded out approximately an hour later.
Hunter was arrested by the Leesburg Police Department.
