WEIS Radio has learned that a pedestrian was struck and seriously hurt in Chattooga County, Georgia during the overnight hours.
Sheriff Mark Schrader says at around 3:00am (Thursday) the pedestrian was hit by a vehicle on Highway 27 near the area Walmart, and seriously injured. The victim was immediately transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The Georgia State Patrol is currently investigating the incident.
