Effective February 21st, University of Alabama to Remove Requirement for Face Masks From Most of Tuscaloosa Campus.

Effective February 21st, the University of Alabama will be removing the requirement for face masks from most areas of their Tuscaloosa campus.

The university said masks will still be required on public transportation and in some medical and patient care facilities.  On Monday, UA reported fewer than 50 student and staff positive COVID cases.   During the month of January – the University of Alabama System hit its record high of 947 reported positive cases across three campuses.

The University of Alabama at Birmingham has not changed its mask-required status – meanwhile Auburn University and other schools around the state currently require masks.
