Plainview girls end Collinsville’s basketball season

COLLINSVILLE – Tyla Tatum tallied 18 points and Kayla Beene added 16, including four 3-pointers in the fourth quarter, but their efforts weren’t enough to lead the Collinsville Lady Panthers past Plainview in girls basketball sub-regional action on Monday. They fell by the final of 61-42.

Kami Sanders sank four treys and scored 16 points to lead Plainview. Saydi Jackson added 12 points. Ali Price posted 10 points. Lauren Jimmerson and Mylie Butler both finished with eight points. Butler had a pair of 3-pointers.

Sophie Wills finished with five points for Collinsville.

Plainview jumped out to a 14-5 first-quarter lead and held a 33-14 edge at halftime. The Lady Bears maintained a 45-24 advantage at the end of three quarters.
