The Etowah County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed a death investigation is underway after a body was located in a wooded area Saturday afternoon.

The body has been identified as Timothy Brandon Brady, who had been missing since Thursday, Feb. 3. Investigators and search crews have been conducting a search of the area around his residence over the last three days and a searcher located the body close to where the focus of that search took place.

The Sheriff’s Office received a report of Brady missing on Tuesday, Feb. 8 and investigator quickly began working on leads. The first search of the area took place Wednesday.

Investigators are now working a death investigation at this time. Foul play does not believe to be involved. That is all information to be released at this time.
