CEDAR BLUFF — Za’Niya Kyle scored a game-high 17 points to lead the Cedar Bluff Lady Tigers to a 48-18 victory in the Class 1A, Area 13 girls basketball tournament on Saturday.
Caley Bruce, Kylie and Kaylyn Vadon each netted six points for the Lady Tigers. Kindal Grace finished with five points.
The Lady Tigers led 11-1 at the end of the first quarter and 28-4 at halftime. Cedar Bluff held a 38-14 edge after three quarters.
No Gaylesville player reached double figures. Paislee Bryson scored the Lady Trojans’ first field goal on a rebound and putback with just under 5:50 remaining in the third quarter. They were led by Shonda Epps’ four points.
Cedar Bluff advances to meet top-seeded Skyline on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
