Collinsville splits basketball games against Pisgah

COLLINSVILLE – Alex Garcia netted 25 points and Colton Wills came away with 23 in leading the Collinsville Panthers to a 65-55 victory at Pisgah on Thursday.

Dawson Cothran contributed eight points for the Panthers.  Eli Griggs finished with five points.

Jake Hendricks led Pisgah with 16 points. Jakob Kirby added 13 points. Legion McCrary came away with nine points. Rhyan Barrett had seven points and Grant Smith finished with five points.

Pisgah held a 17-9 advantage at the end of the first quarter, but the Panthers managed to tie the game at 27 heading into halftime. The Panthers pulled ahead 45-38 at the end of three quarters.

In the girls game, Class 2A top-ranked Pisgah sank 16 3-pointers in a 70-41 win over Collinsville.

Kallie Tinker led the Lady Eagles with 16 points, including four 3-pointers. Piper Anderson and Molly Heard both tossed in 14 points. Anderson sank four 3-pointers and Heard had three treys. Paisley Patalas added 11 points, including three 3-pointers. Karlee Holcomb finished with five points.

Rylee Tillery 12 points on four 3-pointers. Tyla Tatum added 11 points, including a pair of treys. Kayla Beene and Gracie Griggs both finished with seven points.

Pisgah led 21-11 at the end of the first quarter and 37-23 at halftime. The Lady Eagles held a 54-36 advantage at the end of three quarters.
