Two Hurt in Head-On Collision on County Road 159 Monday Afternoon

Two people were hurt in a head-on collision on County Road 159 in Cherokee County Monday.  According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report, a 2008 Saturn being driven by a female resident of Cave Spring, Georgia collided with a 2007 Buick, driven by a female resident of Centre at 2:40pm. 

The Cave Spring woman was unhurt however the driver of the Buick and a passenger – also from Centre – were transported for treatment of what appeared to be “non-life threatening” injuries.

Members of the McCords Fire Department, Cherokee County Rescue Squad, Floyd and Redmond EMS and State Troopers all responded. 

That wreck remains under investigation by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
