Fort Payne Parks & Recreation Alabama Recreation and Parks Association State Award Winners

Fort Payne Parks and Recreation staff received awards at the Alabama Recreation and Parks Association annual awards banquet.

The Remote Walk With Ease program was named 2021 Innovative Program of the Year. Remote Walk With Ease was made possible by a grant from the National Recreation and Parks Association and will be used to develop training and best practices for other agencies.

Remote Walk With Ease offers a way to provide the Arthritis Foundation Walk With Ease program safely during the covid19 pandemic.

Brant Middlebrooks was named the 2021 Professional of the Year in Parks.

This award is given to a professional who has shown outstanding leadership and innovation in the areas of park planning, operations and maintenance.

Robin Brothers was awarded the ARPA Star Service Award which is presented to ARPA members who have provided dedicated service during the past year through leadership, education, advocacy, promotion and service.
