State Troopers Respond to Two Separate Accidents on Alabama Highway 68 Tuesday

Fortunately no one was actually hurt in an accident, which according to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports, involved one vehicle sideswiping another – then fleeing the scene.  That incident took place at approximately at 3:20pm Tuesday on Alabama Highway 68 west at Sand Rock.

The vehicle remaining at the scene – a 2017 Ford – was driven by a female resident of Centre; the accident report contained no description of the other vehicle.

No additional information was available – that wreck remains under investigation.

A couple of hours earlier, at around 1:30 that afternoon, troopers responded to a two vehicle accident, close to mile marker 22 on Highway 68; the mishap involved a 2007 Dodge being driven by a male resident of Collinsville and a 2017 Toyota driven by a male from Dawsonville.  Luckily, both occupants were only shaken up in the collision
