Collinsville girls down Douglas, 52-35

DOUGLAS – Tyla Tatum rang for 21 points and Kayla Beene netted 18, including a pair of 3-pointers, in leading the Collinsville Lady Panthers to a 52-35 basketball win at Douglas on Tuesday night.

Rylee Tillery tallied nine points for the Lady Panthers.

Maddie Hayes led Douglas with 12 points. Tori Rojek added eight points. Madison Franklin had seven points and Mallory Ackles finished with six points.

Collinsville built an 18-6 advantage at the end of the first quarter and held a 27-16 edge at halftime. The Lady Panthers led 40-23 at the end of three quarters.

In boys action, Douglas claimed a 63-41 win over the Panthers. Yael Lucas Mendoza led the Eagles with 14 points.

Colton Wills topped Collinsville with 17 points. Luke Henderson had 10 points and Alex Garcia finished with eight points.

Douglas led 20-11 at the end of the first quarter and held a 34-19 edge at halftime. The Eagles maintained a 51-26 advantage heading into the fourth quarter.
