Rebecca Elliott Clayton, age 68 of Centre, passed away Saturday, January 22nd at Riverview Hospital.

A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 27th 2022 at Centre First Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm till 2:00 pm Thursday at the church, burial will follow the service in Tates Chapel Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Gober (Jay); step-daughter, Melanie Weaver (David); step-son, David Clayton (Pam); chosen son, Travis Duarte; granddaughter, Sara Rose Gober; close cousins, Irby Woodall, Bill Woodall and Barbara Gipson; several nieces & nephews, cousins, and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Clayton; son, Marcus Clayton; brother, Robert Elliott Jr.; grandmother, Carrie Woodall; and special cousin, John Woodall. Pallbearers will include Irby Woodall, Bill Woodall, Jay Gober, Travis Duarte, Ghee Wilson and David Clayton.

Ms. Clayton was a native of Centre, AL, she was a graduate of Judson College, Jacksonville State University, and the University of Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Robert Elliott and Sara Woodall, and was of the Methodist faith.
