There was a vehicle pursuit involving Piedmont Police Officers at approximately 4:00 p.m. this (Monday, January 17th) afternoon which crossed over into the Estes Crossroads area of Cherokee County.

The vehicle officers were pursuing apparently had a switched tag. During the course of the pursuit, the driver bailed out of the car inside Cherokee County where a foot pursuit ensued with Piedmont officers. He was then picked up by occupants in another vehicle and has not been captured. 

Cherokee County deputies assisted Piedmont Officers.
