RAINBOW CITY – Lanie Henderson sank eight 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 28 points in leading the Sand Rock Lady Wildcats to a Class 2A, Area 12 girls basketball victory at Westbrook Christian on Tuesday.

Henderson also grabbed seven boards for the Lady Wildcats (18-2). Katelyn StClair added 18 points and six boards. Chloe Stephens rang for 12 points. Arleigh Beard managed nine points and six rebounds. Caley Garrett collected eight points, nine assists and eight rebounds. Haley Grace Lisenbee finished with four points, five steals and seven assists.

In the nightcap, Jacob StClair delivered 36 points and five assists as the Wildcats rallied for a 67-60 victory over the Warriors. Kaden Justice delivered 21 points and 10 boards.

Hugh Windle and Evan Sizemore led Westbrook with 16 and 14 points respectively.

Sand Rock (11-9) trailed 27-17 at the end of the first quarter and 36-28 at halftime. Sand Rock cut its deficit down to 48-46 at the end of three quarters and outscored the Warriors 21-12 in the fourth quarter for the final.

Both Sand Rock squads host Spring Garden on Friday.
