Anthony Vernon Clifton, was born April 10, 1954 in Cedar Bluff, Alabama. He peacefully made his transition on January 6, 2022 at the age of 67 at Gadsden Regional Hospital. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Sam and Marion Ayers and one sibling Terry L. Clifton, and grandparents Ollie Mae Green and Elmer Clifton.
Mr. Clifton was native of Cedar Bluff, Alabama, he served in the United States Navy as a paramedic for 12 years, was employed at Temple Inland Sawmill and Parkdale Mills,
He gave his life to Christ at an early age and joined Bogan Chapel Methodist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and watching football with his uncle Michael Clifton.
He leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife Martha Ann Moten Clifton; two daughters LeLauni Marshall, Ashanti Clifton; grandchildren; Syncere Clifton, twins Kaloni and King, D’Shawn, Davion, Darrion; brother Johnny Amison; sisters, Jackie Robinson, and Joyce Moore; Brother-in-laws Joseph (Shirley) Tolliver, Gerald Moten, Terry (Nora) Chapman, Danny Chapman, Jeff (Shannon) Moten, Delores Chapman; aunts, Carol A. Dixon, Eula M. Higgins, Roberta Green, Janet Moten; uncles Michael (Shirlette) Clifton, Steven Clifton, James E. Clifton, ED Moten, Lester Moten.
