Police Respond To ‘Shots Fired’ Call At Centre McDonalds On Saturday Night

Numerous law enforcement officers responded to the Centre McDonalds on Saturday night in response to a call of shots fired outside the restaurant.

According to information received by WEIS Radio News it appears that two brothers got into an altercation when a firearm was accidentally discharged during the argument.

One of the two men were quickly taken into custody and taken to the Centre Police Department for questioning.  Centre Police requested medics at the police department to check one of the men for a contusion to the face; no other injuries were reported during the incident.

According to jail records, it appears that neither individual involved was charged.

Centre, Cedar Bluff and Leesburg Officers along with Cherokee County Sheriff’s Deputies were among those on the scene.
