A Walnut Grove man was arrested on Wednesday for Receiving Stolen Property 1st according to Sheriff Jonathon Horton.

Investigator Wesley Smith said Ethan Mckee is accused of receiving stolen property from a burglary on McCormick Ln near Boaz, AL during the month of January 2022.

A search warrant was executed by Sheriff’s Investigators at Mr. Mckee’s residence in Altoona. Investigators recovered a vehicle, tools, collectibles, and lawn equipment during the search of the property. The amount of property recovered totaled approximately $14,500.

Mckee is currently in custody at the Etowah County Detention Center with $12,500 worth of bonds. Smith said the investigation is ongoing, and additional arrests are expected in other cases.
