StClairs lead Sand Rock to Supreme Court basketball wins

GUNTERSVILLE – At the Supreme Courts Tournament in Guntersville, both Sand Rock basketball teams posted wins on Tuesday. The Lady Wildcats defeated Briarwood Christian 66-41, while the Wildcat boys earned a 74-61 victory over Sardis.

In the girls game, Katelyn StClair scored 20 points to lead the Lady Wildcats, who improved to 16-1 on the season. Lanie Henderson added 13 points and five rebounds. Caley Garrett collected 11 points, six boards, five steals and two assists. Emily Burton delivered eight points. Haley Grace Lisenbee finished with four points, five boards, four assists, three steals and four blocks.

In the boys game, Jacob StClair netted 24 points, dished out six assists and grabbed five rebounds. Kaden Justice came away with 21 points, nine rebounds and four assists. Jacob Cornejo collected 11 points and eight boards. Bradley Jackson finished with six points and nine rebounds.

Luke Martin led Sardis with a game-high 28 points.

Both Sand Rock teams continue play in the tournament on Wednesday.
