Revenue Commissioner Says There WILL be a Grace Period for Paying Taxes (Through Monday, January 3rd)

On Monday morning, WEIS Radio News spoke with Dustin St. Clair – Cherokee County Revenue Commissioner – about the final day of the year falling on what is considered a holiday for most state and local offices.

St. Clair said that his office, which is located in the County Administration Building on the Cedar Bluff Road in Centre, will indeed be open regular hours this week with THE EXCEPTION of FRIDAY, December 31st.   They will be closed that day in observance of New Year’s Eve.

Since the office will be closed on the 31st, there WILL BE a grace period.  You may pay taxes on Monday, January 3rd without a penalty.
