A man was injured on Christmas morning after an excavator fell on him at a home on County Road 18 in the Sandy Creek area.
The victim managed to free himself and drove to a nearby residence to seek help.
The McCords Fire Department and Floyd EMS units quickly responded to the location with the man being treated for complaints of back and chest pain.
