A two-vehicle crash taking place around 7:50 Wednesday morning (December 22nd) in DeKalb County claimed the life of a Henagar teenager.
Josey Sargent, age 19 – was fatally injured when the 2012 Jeep Wrangler that he was driving struck a 2004 Chevy Cavalier – driven by Christopher Paul Musser, age 28, of Ft Payne. Sargent, who was not wearing his seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene. Musser was injured and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The crash occurred on Dekalb County 85 near DeKalb County 602, around four miles southeast of Henagar.
Nothing further is being released as the troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
