Alabama State troopers are currently investigating a fatal accident that took place in Marshall County on Tuesday afternoon.
According to Albertville Police Chief Jamie Smith that single-vehicle wreck happened on Alabama Highway 75 near Piney Grove Road around 12:50pm.
The driver, identified on reports as 50 year old Melia Paige Jenkins of Scottsboro was killed when her 2010 Ford Edge left the roadway and overturned on an embankment – she was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred approximately five miles north of Albertville.
No additional information is being released at this time.
