State Representative Ginny Shaver was among the guest at the regular meeting of the Cherokee County School Board on Thursday afternoon.
Shaver presented the board with a check in the amount of $20,650. Shaver explained that this money was from her community development fund that is allotted to each house member. The board also received a check in the amount of $1,500 from Clint Bradley with Country Financial. Those funds were donated to be distributed among the FFA programs at each school.
Other items approved included and agreement with Cintas for Centre Elementary School and the acceptance of a bid with Game Day Athletic Surfaces.
