Vehicle Reported Stolen In 2010 Recovered From The Coosa River

A car that has been missing for a decade was recovered Thursday in the Coosa River, according to the Gadsden Police Department.

Police said the car was reported stolen in 2010 in a report originally made with the Glencoe Police Department.

The car was pulled from the river under the I-759 bridge by the Etowah County Dive Team just before noon.

Police said the car was spotted by citizens who were scuba diving in the river.

No additional information was released by the police department and the car’s owner was not identified.
