SAND ROCK – The Sand Rock basketball teams swept Sylvania at home on Thursday night. The Lady Wildcats earned a 58-46 victory, while the boys claimed a 67-50 win.

In the girls game, Katelyn StClair led the Lady Wildcats (10-0) with 14 points and five assists. Caley Garrett also contributed 14 points. Lanie Henderson collected nine points, 18 rebounds, three assists, three steals and four blocks. Arleigh Beard finished with seven points and six rebounds.

In the boys game, Jacob StClair tossed in 20 points, dished out 10 assists and had three steals. Logan Crider contributed 18 points and eight boards. Kaden Justice delivered nine points and six rebounds. Ben Dale finished with nine points.

Drake Whisenant led Sylvania with 17 points.

Sand Rock (7-4) led at each of the quarter breaks. The Wildcats held a 13-11 advantage at the end of the first quarter and a 30-21 edge at halftime. Sand Rock led 45-32 at the end of three quarters.

Sand Rock travels to Spring Garden on Tuesday.
