Northwest Georgia Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest

A recent traffic stop in Chattooga County, Georgia ended with a Summerville resident being taken to jail on a variety of drug charges.

According to the incident report released by the Summerville Police Department, law enforcement was conducting a checkpoint at the intersection of East Washington and Penn Streets when they noticed a driver with dilated pupils.  The driver, identified as 23 year old Logan Crabtree of a Summerville Gardens address, told an officer about a marijuana “blunt” in his hat.   With that information officers asked for consent to search the vehicle and inside they found a total of seven marijuana “blunts” along with suspected cocaine.

Crabtree was taken into custody at the scene and charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana (less than an ounce) and possession of drug related objects.  He was then taken to and was booked in at the Chattooga County Jail.
