Follow the Rules of the Road and Drive Safely Over the Holiday Travel Period

Law enforcement officials across Alabama are urging motorists to slow down, and be sure they follow the rules of the road, during the Thanksgiving Holiday travel period, which runs through Sunday (November 28th).

While Thanksgiving Day has passed for another year both the Black Friday and Small Business Saturday shoppers will be out in force this weekend – and law enforcement agencies will be on heightened alert and will have increased patrols for traffic safety.

They’ll be working throughout the extended holiday weekend period to prevent auto crashes, and save lives, by enforcing speeding, DUI, hands-free, seat belt and all other traffic safety laws,

In addition to Black Friday and Small Business Saturday shopping traffic – one of the busiest travel days of the year will be on Sunday when travelers are returning home from their Thanksgiving trips.

Remember play it safe and buckle up, put the cell phone down, no texting and driving and never drive impaired by alcohol or drug use.
