A Cherokee County man landed in jail in northwest Georgia, following a traffic stop in Rome earlier this week.
Earl David Wells Jr., age 34 of Cedar Bluff – was pulled over for speeding on Mulberry Road. Officers soon discovered that he was driving on a suspended license and while being taken into custody – he was reportedly found to be in possession of two bags of what appeared to be methamphetamine, hidden inside a metal container. There was also a glass smoking device located.
Wells was charged with Possession of Meth and Possession of Drug Related Objects – in addition to Speeding and Driving on a Suspended License.
