Mr. James Denson Wade, age 85 of Cedar Bluff, passed away Friday November 19th 2021 at Cherokee County Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Wednesday November 24th, at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert Steele and Bro. Horace Humphrey officiating. Burial will follow in Unity Cemetery in Cedar Bluff. The family will receive friends from 12 until 2PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will include Robert McDaniel, Andrew Alexander, Jamie Qualls, Ian McDaniel, Max Alexander and Leeair Luster.
Honorary Pallbearers will include Jimmy Smith, Tyler Gatlin, Jonathan Anthony and Kelly Chandler.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Wade; daughters, Diane Alexander, Vonda (Glen) McDaniel, and Denise (Rodney) Slayton; 9 grandchildren, Leeane Alexander, Andrew Alexander, Jamie Qualls, Robert McDaniel, Sabrina Anthony, Emily Davis, Annie Slayton, Jimmy Smith, and Brooklyn McDaniel; 20 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren also remain.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Wade; sister Mary Ruth Early; son-in-law, Jimmy Qualls.
Mr. Wade was the son of the late Hubert Denson Wade and Annie Hardin Wade. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church and made his living as a textile worker.
