Two people were jailed on multiple drug charges in Cherokee County on Thursday.

Michael Shropshire age 32 of Centre was arrested on charges of Drug Trafficking, the Possession of Barbiturates, Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Receiving a Stolen Vehicle, Promoting Prison Contraband/Drugs, and Possession of Concealed Weapon without a Permit in addition to Alias Writ of Arrest, three counts.

A 22 year old woman from Chattsworth, Georgia – Savannah Edwards – was arrested on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, as well as Carrying Brass Knuckles…and a Sling Shot… and being a Fugitive from Justice.

Shropshire was booked into jail around 4:30am with bond being set at $86,500 – and Edwards was booked in around 6:30am with her bond being set at $3,500.

Both currently remain in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
