Northwest Georgia Man Arrested on Child Molestation Charges

A convicted child molester who formerly lived in Chattooga County, Georgia and now resides in Floyd County, has been arrested by Floyd County authorities in connection with a case involving a minor in Chattooga County.

Floyd County Police arrested 54 year old Kenneth Lee Trammell on child molestation charges after information out of Chattooga County indicated Trammell had molested a young girl.

Court records indicated that in 1990, a jury found Trammel – who lived on Ridgeway Drive in Trion at the time – guilty of child molestation after being accused of sexually assaulting a 14 year old mentally handicapped boy.

Trammell was also accused of molesting his own daughter, after an incident in which he allegedly inappropriately touched the girl, who was 12 years old at the time.

Chattooga County Sheriff Mark Schrader says Trammel was just released from prison in May of this year.  He was arrested in Chattooga County, in October of this year, on a a child molestation charge.
