Troopers Investigating Fatal Accident on I-20 Monday

Law Enforcement is currently searching for a vehicle that may have played a part in a deadly crash in east Jefferson County on Monday afternoon.

Alabama State Troopers have identified that victim as 53 year old William Ramsey of  Moody.

The crash happened about 2:45pm on Interstate 20 westbound, around a mile east of Leeds.  Trooper Justin O’Neal stated that Ramsey was driving a 1990 Corvette, when the vehicle left the road and struck an embankment.  Ramsey was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the Corvette.   He was pronounced dead at the scene.  O’Neal said investigators are searching for a white Nissan Frontier – which may have been involved in an incident that contributed to the crash.
