Two Women Charged With Chemical Endangerment In Etowah County

Two women have been arrested on chemical endangerment charges, according to Sheriff Jonathon Horton.

Nesa Elizabeth Warren, 27, of Gadsden, is charged with two counts of chemical endangerment of exposing a child to an environment in which controlled substances are ingested, produced or distributed, which is a felony, Inv. Brandi Fuller said.

Warren is currently 7 months pregnant and was at home alone with 5 other children all under 11 years old when she was found passed out. Drugs and drug paraphernalia was found around Warren when law enforcement arrived on scene.

Warren was transported to the hospital where she was treated and released.  Warren was then arrested for chemical endangerment. The children have been placed in the DHR’s custody at this time. It was then discovered that Warren was a fugitive from Florida and they have since placed a hold on her for extradition.

Amanda Dawn Bradley, 35, Attalla is charged with chemical endangerment also, Inv. Brandi Fuller said. Bradley tested positive for THC (marijuana) while giving birth on November 2, 2021 and the baby tested positive for the same. DHR is involved in both cases and Amanda Bradley’s child has been placed in a safety plan.

Both women are being held in the Etowah County jail on a cash bond with conditions of an in house drug treatment facility and to be supervised by the Etowah County Court Referral office upon release from the jail.
