One of the three people injured in a two car crash in Centre on Sunday has died as a result of injuries.
The Cherokee County Coroner’s Office confirmed the fatality on Monday afternoon.
The accident occurred just after noon Sunday on West Main Street at the intersection of South Pratt Street near the Centre First Methodist Church.
Cherokee County Coroner Paul McDonald confirmed that the victim was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved; she was taken to a Rome hospital where she later died. Two others were treated at the scene and also taken to the hospital for unspecified injuries.
At this time, the name of the victim has not been released.
