Mrs. Mary Mackey Atkins, age 91 of Centre, passed away Wednesday, October 27th at Cherokee County Health and Rehab.

Funeral services will be held at 2: PM Saturday, October 30th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Farley officiating; burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 PM Saturday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include Greg Griffith, Roger Griffith, Gary Hunt, Mike Hunt, Kim Pentecost and Charles Chesnut.

Survivors include son, Terry Phillip (Brenda) Mackey; daughter, Darlene (David) Maddox; sister, Nellie Louise Chesnut; 4 grandchildren, Jamie Colbert, Bandi Stouder, Terri Bradley, Brad King; 11 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Dennis Brown Mackey and James Cecil Atkins; brothers, Frank, JB, Jessie and Ray Hunt; sister, Ann Griffith; granddaughter, Pam Butler.

Mrs. Atkins was a lifelong residence of Cherokee County, the daughter of the late Claude and Nelly Patterson Hunt, and was of a member of Shiloh Baptist Church
