A two-vehicle crash claimed a Leesburg woman’s life and injured another on Thursday, October 28, at approximately 3:27 a.m.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Annagail L. Rowe, 23, was killed when the 2016 Ford Fiesta she was driving collided head-on with a 2001 Chevrolet Suburban driven by 25-year-old Orlando J. Carmichael of Oxford. The accident occurred approximately five miles north of Anniston on U.S. 431 near the 240 mile marker.

Rowe was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash. Carmichael was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
