A Gardendale woman was fatally injured in a single-vehicle accident on Sunday.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report – Angela C. Byrd, age 34, was fatally injured when the 2001 Ford Mustang she was driving left the road and struck an embankment around 6:00am; the crash occurred on County Road 26 in Blount County, approximately five miles south of Snead.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
That wreck remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
