Sand Rock, Spring Garden, Cedar Bluff head to Huntsville for North Volleyball Super Regional

HUNTSVILLE – Three Cherokee County volleyball teams will play in the North Super Regional at Huntsville’s Von Braun Center beginning on Wednesday.

Class 2A, Area 12 runner-up Spring Garden opens things up at 10:15 a.m. against Area 15 winner Ider. The winner of that match will play the winner of Lexington and Southeastern at 5 p.m.

Class 2A, Area 12 champion Sand Rock battles Area 15 runner-up Pisgah at 11:30 a.m. in its first-round match. The winner takes on the winner of the West End-Mars Hill Bible match at 5 p.m.

The Class 2A North Super Regional semifinals are at 12:45 p.m. on Thursday. The championship and third-place matches are scheduled for 5 p.m. Thursday.

In Class 1A, Area 13 champion Cedar Bluff opens play on Thursday against Area 9 runner-up Holy Spirit at 11:30 a.m. The winner of that match takes on the Hackleburg-Ragland winner at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

The Class 1A North Super Regional semifinals are Friday at 10 a.m., with the championship and third-place matches scheduled for 1 p.m.
