Gerald Wayne Downey, age 63 of Horton, passed away Thursday, October
14th at Marshall Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 2:PM Monday, October 18th at Perry Funeral
Home Chapel with Bro. Danny Sprayberry and Bro. Raymond McAllister
officiating; burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery. The family will
receive friends from 1 until 2:PM Monday, at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Jo McAllister Downey; daughters,
Whitney LeAnn McAllister, Jordan Michelle Downey and Destiny Rena
Downey; son, Adam Blake Downey; brothers, Danny Gene Downey, Jackie D.
Downey, Kenny Lee Downey and Michael L.

Mr. Downey was a native of Etowah County, the son of the late Dannie
Dalton and Rosie Lee McGatha Downey, he was a Textile Worker at
Leesburg Yarn Mills and was of the Methodist faith.
